LOS ANGELES – Three sheriff’s deputies are dead, and one person hospitalized following an explosion at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Biscailuz Center Training Academy in East Los Angeles Friday morning.

The explosion was reported around 7:25 am. at the facility located in the 1000 block of Eastern Avenue.
The training center has since been evacuated and roads in the area are closed as the investigation continues.
