'90s Actress, 50, Looks Nearly Unrecognizable After Bold Hair Transformation

19 July 20252 Mins Read

Chloë Sevigny has long been known for her edgy style and dramatic transformations — but her latest look has fans doing a double take.

The 50-year-old actress appears nearly unrecognizable in the teaser trailer for her new film, After the Hunt.

In the clip, Sevigny debuts one of her shortest haircuts yet, a shaggy auburn pixie cut, that marks a major departure from her signature long blonde hair.

The transformation is so striking, some fans might not immediately recognize the Emmy-nominated star. Dressed in a two-piece suit, Sevigny showcases her bold new look in a scene from the upcoming drama directed by Luca Guadagnino.

Alongside Sevigny, After the Hunt stars Andrew Garfield, Julia Roberts and Ayo Edebiri, making it one of the most anticipated films of the year.

While the beloved actress recently earned praise for her role as Kitty Menendez in Ryan Murphy’s Emmy-nominated series Monsters, her acting career dates back to the 1990s.

She first rose to fame with her breakout role in the controversial 1995 indie film Kids, followed by a performance in Boys Don’t Cry — which earned her an Academy Award nomination.

In addition to her acclaimed acting career, Sevigny has become known as a fashion icon, often experimenting with unique and unconventional styles.

Fans may recall that when she first hit the Hollywood scene, Sevigny wore a similar curly pixie cut — a look she hasn’t revisited in decades until now.

Speaking about her longtime hairdo, the actress once explained why she stuck with long blonde locks for so many years.

“I have long blond hair. I have worn it up or down or parted in the middle and pulled back for more than 30 years. It’s that with a red lip and mascara,” she reportedly said to Air Mail.

“Whenever I try to present myself as something that I’m not, or I’m doing a red-carpet moment where I can tell I’m trying to appear a certain way and it’s not true to myself, I look back on that and kind of cringe.”
