Iconic Rocker, 80, Returns With Epic Show After Canceling Tour Dates

23 July 20252 Mins Read

Iconic rocker Rod Stewart looked to be in great spirits as he played an epic show in Canada on July 22, just a month after he had to cancel several United States tour dates due to illness.

The classic rock legend, 80, played the Budweiser Stage in Toronto, Canada for his “One Last Stop” tour, and he seemed to be back to his old self with an epic outfit and all of his signature moves. Stewart donned a frilly white shirt with a silver and black sparkly blazer, as well as black pinstripe pants and several flashy necklaces.

Stewart also shared the stage with supporting act Cheap Trick, a beloved 70s rock band that is perhaps best known for their iconic song “I Want You To Want Me.”

It’s great to see the musician rocking out on stage, as he sadly had to cancel several dates from the U.S. leg of his tour back in June. “I have to cancel and reschedule my next six concerts in June as I continue to recover from the flu,” Stewart revealed via Instagram on June 6. “So sorry my friends. I’m devastated and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience to my fans. I’ll be back on stage and will see you soon.” He signed his note “Sir Rod” and also included a broken heart emoji.

Stewart ended up having to cancel three dates at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas in the beginning of June, as well as another date at the Lake Tahoe Amphitheatre northwest of Sin City. He rescheduled two California dates as well, one in Rancho Mirage and one in Paso Robles, with both moved to late September.

That said, he was thankfully well enough to play an epic set at Glastonbury at the end of June, which marked his first appearance at the festival in 23 years. He shared the stage with former Faces bandmate Ronnie Wood, who is best known for his tenure with The Rolling Stones.
