One of Calgary’s best free summer events is Music in the Plaza, a weekly celebration of emerging local artists at Heritage Plaza. So pull up your lawn chair and get ready for an evening of great local tunes.

YYC Bump returns for its ninth year from Aug. 1 to 8. This exceptional event will bring visionary artists together from across Canada to turn our Alberta beige walls and minimalist urban spaces into hallways of colour.

Wish you could walk with the dinosaurs? Life Chronicles is a virtual experience that will thrill visitors with the beauty and richness of life before time.

Play games, win prizes, and get your dinner all in one place at The Rec Room, which has everything from arcade games and immersive experiences to top golf, shuffleboard, and more.

Until Sept. 1, 2025, visitors from near and far are welcome to visit Banff to experience the Sunset Festival — an alpine celebration featuring live music, tasty bites, delicious drinks, and more atop the summit of Sulphur Mountain. Best of all, the festival runs every single night.
