FREE Vancouver block party brings festival fun with live music & local market vendors

29 July 20252 Mins Read

Block party time! Returning for its third year, this Vancouver outdoor festival is set to make the most of the summer, and you’ll want to check it out.

Come one, come all to the free Granville Block Party, a two-day shindig in the heart of the bustling Granville Entertainment District! Touching down at the Granville and Robson intersection (700 and 800 blocks) on Saturday, Aug. 23, and Sunday, Aug. 24, it’s a family-friendly event with a ton on deck.

Shake your groove thing

Granville Block Party

From 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., enjoy four stages with curated takeovers from Van Vogue Jam and Locals Lounge, plus the Dance Stage with performances from the Harbour Dance Centre, and a swing dancing set from Vancouver Civic Theatres.

The lively lineup of musical acts includes Krystle Dos Santos, Jack Garton, Bakara Band, Luvinya and the Retrolytes, Serengeti, Kate Yahn, and more!

Eat, shop, and family-fun

For sips and bites, visit the block party’s two bars hosted by Red Truck Beer Company and The Little Margarita Wagon (slinging alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks!) plus street eats from Mr. Arancino, Los Elotes, and Peace Sweetz.

In the mood for some shopping? The Vintage Market, selling curated picks from Leo’s Clothing Supply on Saturday, Aug. 23, and VHS Markets’ homemade goods on Sunday, will be the place to do so!

Don’t forget to check out some free activations and booths from The North Face, Domino’s Pizza, The Rec Room Granville, Wirth Hats, and the fan-favourite El Furniture Warehouse.

For the little ones, the Kids Zone features mini golf, arts and crafts workshops, and fun, roving street performers. For the adults, swing by the outdoor lawn games section of the festival, sponsored by Parq Casino.

With such a stacked lineup, there’s no excuse for missing out on the fun! This is a great time to hang out with your neighbours, support local businesses, and enjoy that special summertime festival vibe.

Check out the Granville Block Party, with free admission, from Aug. 23 to Aug. 24 and have some fun!
