Bret Michaels is one of the latest members of the music community to send their condolences to Ozzy Osbourne‘s family.
On Wednesday, July 30—the same day the Prince of Darkness was honored with a funeral service in England—Michaels took to social media to pen a heartfelt message to Ozzy’s widow, Sharon Osbourne.

Sharing a blurry throwback photo with Sharon from a 2012 red carpet photocall, the Poison frontman wrote in his Instagram post, “To my sweet Sharon and family on this day and every day—my heart, soul and prayers are with you.”
Michaels, 62, went on to address Ozzy specifically, writing, “@ozzyosbourne, thank you for the awesomeness you brought us and may you forever and always rest in peace.”

Ozzy died on Tuesday, July 22, just weeks after performing at Black Sabbath’s final concert. He was 76 years old.
His family announced the news in a statement that read, “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.”
“He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis,” the family added.
Ozzy—who had been battling Parkinson’s disease for over 20 years—was honored in a funeral procession in the city of Birmingham, England on Wednesday, where thousands of fans lined the streets to say their goodbyes.
According to the BBC, Ozzy will formally be laid to rest in a private funeral on Thursday, July 31.
