'South Park' Claps Back After Official Government Account Usurps Show's Animation: 'So We ARE Relevant?'

5 August 20252 Mins Read

Despite the White House’s bold and unquestionable assertion that South Park “hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years,” a governmental agency usurped a screenshot of this week’s episode, set to air tomorrow, Aug. 6, to promote their job listings.

Earlier today, Aug. 5, the Department of Homeland Security uploaded a frame from the trailer for the second episode of South Park’s 27th season on X, which shows several men in hats, masks and sunglasses in a of emergency vehicles labeled “ICE” on the hoods, clearly playing on ongoing and repeated reports that members of the immigration enforcement agency have refused to identify themselves during operations.

Alongside the screenshot, the post included just one link to the agency’s job board, hoping to entice users to “join ICE.”

Not long after, the show’s account retweeted the post, quipping, “Wait, so we ARE relevant?” before, in true South Park fashion, concluding with the hashtag, “#eatabagofdicks.”

If you missed it originally, the White House released its official statement after the season premiere offered a scathing parody of the president, with a spokesperson telling various outlets, “The Left’s hypocrisy truly has no end – for years they have come after South Park for what they labeled as ‘offense’ content, but suddenly they are praising the show. Just like the creators of South Park, the Left has no authentic or original content, which is why their popularity continues to hit record lows.”

The statement continued, “This show hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention. President Trump has delivered on more promises in just six months than any other president in our country’s history – and no fourth-rate show can derail President Trump’s hot streak.”
