Chilliwack’s beloved corn festival is back for another round of shucking, eating, and live music

7 August 20252 Mins Read

Great news, corn lovers! Greendale Acres is running back its beloved Chilliwack Corn Festival for one more weekend, which means it’s not too late to enjoy all the corn-themed festivities, bites, and end-of-summer fun you’ve been missing.

Corn-themed festivities

In addition to first-come, first-served corn shucking and eating contests, there will be face painting, live music, and a fully licensed area with afternoon drinks.

Contests will take place twice daily during the festival and are included in the price of general admission. Organizers promise prizes for first and second places, so why not give it a go and enjoy some fresh corn in the process?

Here is the full schedule for the upcoming corn fest:

  • 11 a.m. – Corn shucking
  • Noon – Corn eating
  • Noon to 2 p.m. – Face painting
  • 2 p.m. – Licensed drink area opens
  • 2:30 p.m. – Corn shucking
  • 3:30 p.m. – Corn eating
  • 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. – Live music (Saturday only)

2025 corn maze

Now open until the end of October, the Fall Corn Maze at Greendale Acres is all about the bees this year — AKA the farm’s “quiet heroes.”

As visitors roam the maze, they’ll discover the vital role bees play as pollinators in ensuring the health of each and every crop, and the health of our planet.

This year’s maze is designed to be both fun and educational, with stops along the way to highlight just how important bees are to our food systems.

Tickets and info

The second weekend of the Chilliwack Corn Festival is this Saturday, Aug. 9 and Sunday, Aug. 10, 2025. Tickets can be purchased online for $18 a pop, or $21 at the door.

So if you’re ready to plunge into late summer and early fall, we say go for it. Explore a new corn maze, gather your pals and loved ones for a photo, and soak up every last drop of sun that you can.

When: Saturday, Aug. 9 and Sunday, Aug. 10, 2025
Time: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday
Where: 41905 Yale Rd. W., Chilliwack
