Hospitality Ventures Management Group, based in Atlanta, has announced the appointment of Drew Slayton as vice president of business development. In this role, Slayton will focus on identifying and securing new growth opportunities for the company’s national hotel portfolio.
Slayton brings over ten years of experience in the hospitality industry to his new position. Before joining HVMG, he served as director of business development and investment analysis at Crescent Hotels and Resorts. During his tenure there, he was involved in securing third-party management agreements and developing proposals for hotel owners and investors. Before his role at Crescent Hotels and Resorts, Slayton worked at HotelAVE, providing advisory services on acquisitions and asset management. His responsibilities included overseeing the KSL Mission Hill portfolio, which encompassed properties such as the Element Atlanta Buckhead and Tru by Hilton Atlanta Ballpark, both of which were operated by HVMG at the time.
Earlier in his career, Slayton held a position at IHG as manager of strategic market planning and feasibility for the Americas Development team. His work involved conducting market analysis and feasibility studies across the Americas. Slayton holds an MBA in Finance from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Certificate in Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management from Cornell University.
In his new role at HVMG, Slayton will be tasked with driving strategic growth initiatives and providing financial insights to support investment decisions.
