Fort Edmonton Park’s DARK has a spooky new haunt this year

20 August 20252 Mins Read

DARK is returning for another year of scares in Edmonton!

The creepy, scary Halloween festival returns for its eighth year, with Fort Edmonton Park transforming into the city’s largest haunted experience. For October, the park will be featuring a series of fan-favourite haunts, elevated scare zones for maximum spooks, and local food and drink vendors for in between the frights.

This exclusive event only comes around for one month each year, so take a chance and check out what’s in the shadows.

What to expect

During the event, visitors will immerse themselves in the haunted houses, which will take place both indoors and outdoors. Actors will try their best to spook guests thoroughly, providing a scary atmosphere and a thrill-seeking event.

This year, DARK will be debuting a new and never-before-seen haunt, in addition to its other three fan-favourite haunts from previous years. The themes will be Undead Mile, Acid Trip, Cursery Rhymes, and Necropolis.

Fort Edmonton Park offers regular admission to the event, as well as their DARK Hotel Selkirk Package.

The hotel experience allows guests to sleep just steps away from the Halloween festival. This package includes a hotel night stay for two guests, a continental breakfast, two bottles of water in-room, two DARK toques, and admission and fast passes for two individuals. With this experience, guests can make the most out the the spooky atmosphere and haunted grounds.

Tickets are already available online at Fort Edmonton Park’s website. The park recommends booking your tickets in advance. DARK can be a busy time of year, and there will be no tickets at the door on sold-out nights.

Don’t miss out, and get ready to get scared this fall!

When: Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, to Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025
Where: Fort Edmonton Park — 7000 143 St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $50+
