Toronto is getting a four day festival with circus acts and sky high performers

20 August 20253 Mins Read

One of the biggest street performer festivals in North America, the Toronto International BuskerFest returns this long weekend. With 100 performers, over four sunny days, we couldn’t think of a better way to say goodbye to August. Here’s what to know about the event.

BuskerFest ’25

When is BuskerFest?

BuskerFest kicks off on Aug. 29 and will run over the long weekend until Sept. 1.

On the first night of the event, festivities will take place starting at 4 p.m. and will run until 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. It will all start at noon and end at 11 p.m. on Saturday and 10 p.m. on Sunday. Heading on Monday? You can enjoy all the fun starting at noon and running until 7 p.m.

Where is Buskerfest?

The beloved annual event will be taking place at Woodbine Park, at 1695 Queen St. E., Emdaabiimok Avenue between Lakeshore Boulevard and Eastern Avenue.

If you’re taking the TTC, you’ll want to embark online too and get off at Coxwell station and take the 22 bus south. You’ll get off at Queen and Coxwell and walk a block down to Woodbine Park. If you’re coming from Woodbine station you’ll want to take the 92 bus south to Lakeshore.

For those on Line 1, make your way to either Queen or Osgoode station, and from either station, you could take the 501 or 502 streetcar east to Coxwell Ave.

What to expect

From circus acts to sky-high displays, there are about 100 performers over the four days to keep you entertained and on your toes.

There will also be a few musical acts that you don’t want to miss out on.

Along with that, there are also special performances, and they’re all taking place at night. On Aug. 31, stick around for The Night Shift starting at 7 p.m.

It kicks off with The Comedy Tent featuring Hector Rivas, Cliff Knight, and Marco Giorgio, three stand-up comics from Venezuela, Guyana, and Italy.

The show starts at 7 p.m., until 8 p.m.

Then at 8:30 p.m., What The Busk – Cabaret Night takes place, featuring some of this city’s best in clown, drag, puppetry and burlesque. It’s all going down at 8:30 p.m.

BuskerFest has also brought back Bark In the Park TO – a dedicated area of the park for dog owners with their furry companions, featuring a range of activities, obstacle courses, pet photo ops, and pet-centric vendors.

There’s lots going on over the long weekend, so do yourself a favour and head on over to the east end for some Busker fun.
