U.S. Travel Agencies Report $8.6 Billion in Air Ticket Sales in February 2025

Record-High July Sales Powered by U.S. Domestic Demand

Today, Airlines Reporting Corp. (ARC) released data showing U.S.-based travel agency air ticket sales totaled $8.1 billion in July 2025 — a 2% year-over-year increase and the highest monthly total for July ever recorded by ARC.* Passenger trips settled by ARC in July reached 24.9 million.

Passenger trips issued through online travel agencies rose 8.6% year over year, while those issued by leisure and corporate agencies decreased 0.5% and 3%, respectively, over the same period.

“July’s results show continued demand for air travel, with ARC-accredited agency sales and passenger trips higher year-over-year for the second-straight month,” said Steve Solomon, chief commercial officer at ARC. “Travel agencies are starting the second half of the year with positive momentum as ticketing trends have normalized after some volatility earlier in the year.”

NDC transactions accounted for 21.5% of the total ARC-settled transactions in July 2025 — up from 19.7% in July 2024. In July 2025, a total of 1,039 travel agencies reported NDC transactions.

More detailed information is available on ARC’s sales statistics page.
