Hard as it might be to believe, fall is officially upon us, bringing with it a change in weather, the start of a new school year and the imminent arrival of certain autumn-themed food and beverage items, including (most obviously) the return of Pumpkin Spice Lattes at Starbucks.
In addition to the pumpkin-inspired treats arriving in stores across the nation, shoppers can also look forward to a brand-new alcoholic beverage from the premiere spirits company, The Cocktail Collection.
In particular, the company is officially set to debut their most recent release, the Bulleit Whiskey Sour Cocktail (fittingly released on National Whiskey Sour Day, no less).
According to the press release from the company, this “ready-to-serve cocktail blends lemon juice and a touch of honey, flavors that effortlessly bridge summer’s freshness and fall’s depth.”
The Bulleit Whiskey Sour Cocktail serves as the long-awaited eighth addition to The Cocktail Company’s already extensive lineup of flavorful alcoholic libations, many of which feature direct tie-ins to iconic spirits brands like Bulleit Bourbon, Ketel One Vodka, Astral Tequila and Tanqueray Gin.
In the past, the company has specifically released ready-made cocktails based on classic recipes most consumers know and love, including Espresso Martinis, Margaritas, Cosmopolitans and Negronis.
Interestingly, The Cocktail Collection’s new beverage marks the third collaboration between the company and Bulleit Bourbon, following in the footsteps of similarly delicious cocktails like the company’s Old Fashioned and Manhattan drinks.
Not only that, but it also marks The Cocktail Collection’s second Whiskey Sour beverage after the Crown Royal Black Cherry Whiskey Sour: a sweet, tangy, refreshing take on the traditional Whiskey Sour recipe.
“From backyard bonfires to game night gatherings, the Bulleit Whiskey Sour offers an easy, elevated option for any occasion — whether you’re savoring late-summer sunsets, firing up the grill for Labor Day or toasting under the stars on a cozy Autumn night,” said Nikhil Shah, Brand Director at Diageo, in the press release.
