This cozy Montreal restaurant serves all-you-can-eat steak and fries for just $44 every week

25 August 20253 Mins Read

If your idea of a perfect evening involves a cozy corner, a glass of wine, and food that makes you close your eyes after every bite, there’s a restaurant in Old Montreal that’ll steal your heart… without stealing your entire paycheque!

Nestled along the charming, cobblestoned streets of Saint-Paul Street East, Maison Saint-Paul is a hidden gem Montreal restaurant that’s keeping one of the city’s best-kept secrets: all-you-can-eat steak for under $50.

Every Thursday night, this Montreal restaurant becomes a carnivore’s dream with its unlimited AAA striploin steak and crispy, golden fries for just $44. Yes, it’s unlimited. And yes, that includes the steak.

The first plate comes out piled high — a generous cut of steak that’ll make you wonder how you’ll possibly manage a second round. But you will. And a third, if you’re feeling ambitious.

The portions get smaller as the night goes on, which means you can keep the feast going without feeling like you need to be rolled out the door when it’s time to leave — unless that’s what you’re going for, of course!

If you’re not feeling steak and fries, don’t stress. The curated Thursday menu has alternate options like rustic artisanal charcuteries with pickles and olives, creamy rigatoni vodka with burrata, the show-stopping “Poutine Terre Mer” layered with foie gras sauce, lobster, and tender mignon, and burrata served with tomato and fried basil that sounds like summer on a plate.

Add a simple homemade salad or warm bread to the mix, and you’re good to go.

And it’s not just the food that makes Maison Saint-Paul so special. The historic stone walls and intimate lighting create a setting that feels cozy all year round, whether you’re there for date night, a celebration with friends, or simply because you need a reason to treat yourself.

While Thursdays are iconic, Maison Saint-Paul is just as inviting the rest of the week. The doors open at 5 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday, with the night stretching on until “late” (or even until 3 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays).
