Aleph Hospitality has signed a management agreement for the 338-room Diyar Al Khalidiya hotel in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, marking its entry into the Makkah market.

Aleph Hospitality has entered the Makkah market by signing a hotel management agreement with Diyar Al Khalidiyah Hotel Services Company for the Diyar Al Khalidiya hotel. The hotel, located on Ibrahim Khalil Street near the Great Mosque of Makkah and the Abraj Al-Bait Towers, comprises 338 rooms. This agreement marks Aleph Hospitality’s second operational hotel in Saudi Arabia, following the Four Points by Sheraton Jeddah.

The management takeover is scheduled for August 2025. Aleph Hospitality is in discussions with various hotel brands to establish an international brand presence for the property. This move is part of the company’s broader strategy to expand its footprint within Saudi Arabia.

The Makkah region is experiencing significant growth in its Hajj and Umrah tourism sectors. Visitor numbers nearly doubled from 2022 to 2023, contributing to a projected Hajj tourism industry value of USD343.55 billion by 2034, with a compound annual growth rate of 7.20%. Under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, Makkah’s hospitality infrastructure is undergoing substantial development, aiming to accommodate an annual pilgrimage target of 30 million by 2030.

Aleph Hospitality’s expansion into Makkah aligns with the Kingdom’s efforts to enhance its hospitality offerings to meet the increasing demand from religious tourism.
