What’s on the Starbucks Autumn-Inspired Menu: Pumpkin Spice and New Egg Bites

The famed Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte isn’t the only item joining the seasonal menu. In addition to the Pumpkin Spice Latte, Starbucks is offering the Pecan Oatmilk Cortado for the first time, as well as the return of fan favorites like the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai, and the Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte.

The fall food menu also features one brand-new item and several returning treats. For the first time, Starbucks will offer Italian Sausage Egg Bites, along with the return of the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin and the adorable raccoon Cake Pop.

What’s in a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte?

Wondering what makes the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte so beloved? The fall favorite is made with real pumpkin, espresso, steamed milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, whipped cream, and pumpkin pie spice.

Actor and director Ben Affleck is regularly snapped by paparazzi with a hefty Starbucks cup in hand. Pop star Katy Perry expressed her love for the drink in 2012, as did Uncommon James founder Kristin Cavallari.

Iron Chef star Gordon Ramsay, Taylor Swift, and Bravo honcho Andy Cohen are all fans of the Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Despite the buzz surrounding the return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte, the comforting beverage isn’t without its detractors. Some critics find the early launch of fall “overhyped,” while others aren’t fans of the taste—one social media user even called it a “nutmeg milkshake,” as if that’s a bad thing.

Still, with Americans spending over half a billion dollars annually on pumpkin spice products, it’s safe to say the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte is here to stay—even if you can only get it once a year.
