Roll up your sleeves and get ready for one final summer weekend party, Calgary! This long weekend is bound to be packed with fun, from cultural festivals to the province’s annual Alberta Day.

Make sure you check these must-see attractions off your to-do list and get ready to celebrate the end of summer 2025 one last time. Here’s what we recommend you get up to this Aug. 29 to Sept. 1 long weekend in Calgary, Alta.

Fiesta Filipino is celebrating its 11th year with a vibrant food, live music, and dance festival at Eau Claire Park. Enjoy a showcase of Filipino culture with over 300 local artists, a Youth Got Talent competition, authentic Filipino cuisine from 15+ food vendors and plenty of cultural exhibits.

Ultimate Summer Challenge is coming back for another exciting year of reading, programs, and a lot of fun for the whole family. The Challenge is simple — read every day this summer. Registration begins May 26 and is free with your Library card. You can track your reading right in the Beanstack app or in a garden-themed Challenge map available at all 22 Calgary Public Library locations. View prizes and learn more about the Challenge!

Get moving with this free outdoor Latin dance event by Jaipur Bridge with a Zumba warm-up, salsa, bachata, reggaeton and cumbia tunes.

Get down to the beat with you and your babe! Baby Beats is a rhythmic-focused class for parents looking to connect with their little one through music.

Celebrate the diversity of 2SLGBTQIA+ identity at the annual Calgary Pride Parade and Festival! This year’s parade route will run west down 9th Avenue SE, from Studio Bell to 5th Street SW on Aug. 31. Two full days of festival event programming will include drag and live music performances on Aug. 30 and Aug. 31 at Prince’s Island Park.

WERK is turning Pride weekend upside down with an outrageous rooftop brunch at the National on 8th featuring RuPaul Drag Race royalty. Get ready to eat, scream and sparkle with the top queens in town, featuring performances from Lydia B. Kollins, Tynomi Banks, The Girlfriend Experience, and Nearah Nuff.

When: Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025
Time: Noon to 4 p.m.
Where: National on 8th Rooftop — 225 8 Ave. SW

The world-renowned acrobatics group will perform at the Big Top for the opening night of their new show ECHO, with bold new visuals, surprising twists and never-before-seen acrobatic feats.

This is Calgary’s final summer send-off, featuring EDM heavyweights at the Big Four Roadhouse. Headliners Ray Volpe and Yellow Claw are sure to bring the party and keep things bumping all night long.

Join Dots & Lines for an immersive creative experience in the scenic Prince’s Island Park. It’s the perfect opportunity to make new friends, learn artistic skills, and enjoy the beauty of nature in the heart of YYC.

Celebrate the unique spirit of the Prairies while honouring Alberta’s history, culture and community. This free event at Heritage Park will include live music, cultural dance and entertainment, craft areas, local vendors and Indigenous storytelling.
