fall back in love with four favorite romance films ahead of A Big Bold Beautiful Journey • Journal • A Magazine • , Life in canada

Do you want to go on A Big Bold Beautiful Journey? People can change over time, but the power of a good, real love story never does. There are countless ones on —and, in collaboration with Columbia Pictures, we’re inviting you to join us and discover, or rediscover, the twenty films below for a very special romantic challenge.

In celebration of the upcoming romantic drama from director Kogonada and written by Seth Reiss, starring Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell, if you watch, rate or review at least four of the titles below you’ll unlock a special sneak peek at the film.

The official synopsis for the film reads: “Some doors bring you to your past. Some doors lead you to your future. And some doors change everything. Sarah (Margot Robbie) and David (Colin Farrell) are single strangers who meet at a mutual friend’s wedding and soon, through a surprising twist of fate, find themselves on A Big Bold Beautiful Journey—a funny, fantastical, sweeping adventure together where they get to re-live important moments from their respective pasts, illuminating how they got to where they are in the present… and possibly getting a chance to alter their futures.”

The new feature from the director of After Yang and the co-writer of The Menu promises to be a heartwarming and uplifting emotional love story. As David says in the film: “No matter who you are in your life, you just need someone to share it with.” Indeed, Farrell agrees, calling the script “one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever read”, while Robbie calls the film ‟beautiful, magical, surreal and kind of weird”. Like all the best things in life.

And so, we share the invitation to our journey with you: The Big Bold Beautiful Journey Through Romance Challenge runs from 12:00 AM PT on August 29 to 11:59 PM PT on September 17, with your special prize coming into your world on September 12. We’ll send the exclusive sneak peek of A Big Bold Beautiful Journey to the email address linked to your account —make sure your account details are up to date.

Below are some of our favorite member reviews to kickstart your inspiration—see you at the movies. A Big Bold Beautiful Journey releases in theaters September 19 from Columbia Pictures.
