Actor Gets Into Heated Exchange, Snaps at Venice Film Festival Official in Viral Video

1 September 20252 Mins Read

Jacob Elordi caused a bit of a stir at the Venice Film Festival after being caught on camera in what appeared to be a heated back-and-forth with an event official.

The 28-year-old actor attended the premiere of Frankenstein on Saturday, August 30, where fans captured a tense moment on TikTok. In the clip, Elordi is first seen speaking with a man the poster described as a “bodyguard” before turning his attention to fans waiting nearby.

“I’m going to take a picture right here,” Elordi can be heard telling the staff member as he posed for photos with attendees. After taking several shots, he looked back toward the official and added, “Don’t ever tell me what to do.”

@mancrushdaily and he was so nice, took photo with everyone he can, he is so sexy and nice please😮‍💨🥺 #actor#man#crush#celebritycrush#celebrity#handsomeboy#hot#viralvideo#jacobelordi#boy#foryou♬ suono originale – Hot Male Celebs😮‍💨🫦

Despite the confrontation, the TikTok user who shared the video wrote that Elordi was kind to all the fans. “And he was so nice, took photo with everyone he can, he is so sexy and nice please,” the poster wrote in their caption. Other fans were quick to chime in in the comments of the viral TikTok with their opinions on the interaction.

“I find it to be little disrespectful towards old man trying to do his job unless if they have understanding which may be a friendliest reminder while being occupied by fans,” one person wrote.

Another said, “That’s nice that he was signing so much, but maybe the bodyguard also had a job to do, just saying.”

A third declared, “Security guys aren’t what they seem , they are controlling and work for management not the actor.”

However, inside the screening, the mood was very different. Following the debut of Guillermo del Toro’s reimagined Frankenstein, People reported that Elordi was “moved to tears” during a 13-minute standing ovation — the longest of the festival so far. A video from the event showed him embracing del Toro and co-star Mia Goth before bowing his head in gratitude to the crowd.

There is tons of anticipation surrounding Frankenstein, which is already being hailed as one of the most buzzed-about films of the season. Fans can stream the film on Netflix starting November 17, 2025.
