IHG Hotels & Resorts will introduce its Garner brand to Southeast Asia with the opening of Garner Hotel Pattaya Central in Thailand this year.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the expansion of its Garner brand into Southeast Asia, with the first hotel set to open in Pattaya, Thailand. The Garner Hotel Pattaya Central is scheduled to begin operations this year, marking a significant development for the brand in the region.
The hotel is being developed in collaboration with Nova Park Company Limited, a partner of IHG and a developer in Pattaya. The property will feature 153 rooms and suites, located on Thailand’s east coast. The hotel will include amenities such as an all-day dining restaurant, a swimming pool, a fitness center, and a DIY laundry facility.
Pattaya is a key tourism destination in Thailand, located approximately an hour’s drive from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport. The city is renowned for its beaches, cuisine, and vibrant shopping districts. The new hotel will be the fourth IHG property in Pattaya, joining InterContinental Pattaya Resort, Holiday Inn Pattaya, and Holiday Inn Express Pattaya Central.
The Garner brand, which launched in 2023, has expanded to 51 operational hotels across countries, including Japan, the United States, and Germany, with 87 additional properties in the pipeline. The introduction of Garner in Southeast Asia is part of IHG’s strategy to strengthen its position in the midscale hotel segment.
IHG’s expansion in Southeast Asia reflects the growing demand for quick-to-market hotel conversions, which represented a significant portion of the company’s global room openings in the first half of 2025. In Southeast Asia, conversions accounted for more than a third of IHG’s signings and about a quarter of its openings during the same period.
The Garner Hotel Pattaya Central will be part of IHG’s portfolio of 40 operational hotels and 41 pipeline properties in Thailand.
