A 10-day book sale is coming to Metro Vancouver and everything is $1

4 September 20252 Mins Read

If you find yourself in search of more reads after Vancouver’s Friends of the VPL sale this week, you’ve got another to peruse in North Vancouver.

The City Library’s back-to-school book sale is on for 10 days this month, starting next week. So mark your calendars and set your reminders, because you won’t want to miss out.

With every title priced at $1, there’s no reason why you can’t go a little wild with your reading purchases ahead of this fall. According to the North Vancouver City Library, the sale will feature a mix of popular fiction, nonfiction, mysteries, and more, with reads suited for all ages.

In addition to books, you can also stock up on magazines, which are priced at five for a buck. Whether you’re an avid magazine reader or looking to repurpose some through collage or visual art, this is a great opportunity to snag some materials.

If you find more than a couple of reads to take home, you can opt to fill a paper bag for $5 or a library tote for $25.

Note that all other materials at the sale will be priced at $1 each. Book lovers can purchase their new goods at the library’s welcome desk.

The used book sale will take place from Wednesday, Sept. 18, to Saturday, Sept. 28, in the lobby, while supplies last.

The library is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and until 5 p.m. on Fridays and weekends.

Gather your loonies and loose coins and head ot the North Vancouver City Library to stock up on some great reads for the rest of the year!

When: Monday, Sept. 8 to Friday, Sept. 19, 2025
Time: During library hours
Where: 120 14th St. W., North Vancouver
Cost: $1 per book, $5 to fill a paper bag, $25 to fill a library tote bag
