The fall chill comes on faster in Calgary than in most cities, but our cultural, arts, and event offerings definitely won’t be cooling off anytime soon.

September is a great time to experience the best of the season, and Calgary and the surrounding area are packed with plenty of things to do. Whether you’ll be picking pumpkins, singing your heart out at a live show, learning a new dance or experiencing jaw-dropping stunts, September in Calgary really has it all.

Make sure to leave some empty space in the agenda for these can’t-miss events!

The world-renowned acrobatics group will perform at the Big Top for the opening night of its new show, Echo, with bold new visuals, surprising twists, and never-before-seen acrobatic feats.

Get on the boo crew at Calaway Park! This Halloween-themed event is brimming with actors in costume, meet-and-greets, spooky scenes and parade floats.

Brighten up the end of autumn with this celebration of the best of the season at the Calgary Farmyard. The entire farm will be open and lit up with bright lights, plus its legendary corn maze will be open until 9 p.m.

Enjoy films for cinephiles of all stripes at Calgary International Film Festival, including a documentary that will bring Bif Naked to the red carpet on Sept. 18.

The town of High River will welcome more than 20 highly skilled balloon pilots from Canada, the U.S., and Europe at this annual host air balloon festival.
