Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed an agreement to open a 64-key hotel under the Gateway brand in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a new hotel in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The project, which will operate under the Gateway brand, is a brownfield development. The hotel will feature 64 rooms and is designed to cater to various tourism segments, including leisure, spiritual, adventure, and eco-tourism.
The Gateway Pahalgam will provide several amenities, including an all-day dining restaurant and a specialty restaurant. Additional facilities will include a heated pool, spa, gym, and health club. The resort will also offer banqueting facilities covering 2,000 square feet, suitable for intimate gatherings and events.
This development marks IHCL’s continued expansion in Jammu and Kashmir, bringing the total number of hotels in the region to seven, including one currently under development. The hotel aims to leverage Pahalgam’s scenic landscapes and cultural heritage to attract a diverse range of tourists.
Pahalgam is situated in the Himalayas, along the Lidder River, and is renowned for its natural beauty, featuring lush meadows and snow-capped mountains. The new hotel is expected to enhance the region’s hospitality offerings.
The project is a collaboration between IHCL and Mr. Riaz Ahmad Panjra, Managing Director of Cemtac Cements. The signing aligns with IHCL’s strategy to expand into high-potential destinations with strong tourism ecosystems.
