It’s officially sweater weather here in Calgary. Whether that brings you seasonal delight or a sense of dread towards the oncoming winter, we’ve got your agenda covered.

This weekend in Calgary is packed with events ranging from monster truck jams to farmyard fun. Here are 10 things we recommend you get up to in and around the city to make the most of sweater season.

The world-renowned acrobatics group perform at the Big Top for their new show ECHO, with bold visuals, surprising twists, and never-before-seen acrobatic feats.

Brighten up the end of autumn with this celebration of the best of the season at the Calgary Farmyard. The entire farm will be open and lit up with bright lights, plus its legendary corn maze will be open until 9 p.m.

Enjoy a free showing of The Wild Robot in Royal Sunalta Park. Don’t forget to bring a blanket and some snacks so you can cozy up!

The ’90s dance group behind hits like “Barbie Girl” and “Doctor Jones” will perform at the Grey Eagle, bringing plenty of colourful, nostalgic vibes along with them.

Get ready to kick some serious zombie behind in this comedic take on the classic Dawn of the Dead. You’ll enjoy everyone’s favourite zombie flick in Celebration Field as the big screen lights up the prairie sky.

Celebrate Chinese cultural heritage with exquisite light and lantern displays, food trucks and local vendors.

The Kiitaamoko O’passkaan Powwow (anglicized, “Everybody Dance”) is a high-energy community celebration showcasing Indigenous culture through song and dance.

Big Rock Brewery is turning the volume to max with the return of Barn Burner, an all-day live music event with an all-star Canadian lineup.

Celebrate all things Dandy! Over 10 bands across two stages, local art displays and two bars will enhance a chill outdoor event with great music and guest tap beer.

This is your last chance to catch this travelling art exhibit at the Calgary Zoo/Wilder Institute, featuring 15 larger-than-life sculptures of marine animals made entirely from debris collected on Pacific Ocean beaches.
