Buckle up for tons of live music options this week, Vancouver! Whether you’re a Jonas Brothers fan, lover of electronic music, or enjoy more folksy, country-inspired songs, there’s something for everyone this week. Here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this week (Sept. 15-19).

UBC’s Chan Shun Concert Hall is transforming for a unique live show that blends two iconic electronic music artists. Vancouver-born Tim Hecker has helped shape the genre over the past 20 years, picking up a Juno Award while doing it. London-based electronic artist Loraine James will join him, making her Vancouver debut.

It’s the semifinals, and the Whitecaps are up against the Hamilton Forge FC at BC Place this week!

The Jonas Brothers are bringing their 20th Anniversary Tour to Rogers Arena this week, so get ready to celebrate two decades of nostalgic hits like “Burnin’ Up,” “SOS,” and much more.

When: Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Where: 800 Griffiths Way

This adults-only night is truly out of this world. Science World After Dark is back on this coming Thursday, offering adults the chance to roam the museum, check out the new space-themed LEGO exhibit, make glow-in-the-dark creations, and catch screenings of To the Moon and Beyond, featuring NASA’s Artemis project.

She may have grown up in a ridiculously famous household, but Noah Cyrus is an artist in her very own right. Her new album, I Want My Loved Ones to Go With Me, pays tribute to her roots while still establishing the singer’s independent voice.

Organized by B.C.’s Culture Days, the Pop-Up Dances Festival is back on Granville Island with performances in nearly every corner. From the garage to the alley to the stage, there will be a variety of pop-up dance performances you won’t want to miss across three days.

When: Friday, Sept. 19 to Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025

Where: Vancouver Public Library, Central Library and Granville Island
Cost: Free

The Improv Centre on Granville Island is presenting a new experimental show called Spontaneous Combustion, which pairs seasoned pros with rising stars for an ideal night of comedy and connection. Get ready to experience a chain of improv scenes where anything can happen.

Tickets are priced at $10, $15, and $20, and you can choose the amount you prefer to pay.

Starting this Friday, you can catch comedian Taylor Tomlinson’s Save Me Tour at Queen Elizabeth Theatre.

Cost: Tickets vary per night

Yet another concert, this time at the Vogue Theatre. Canadian singer-songwriter (and beloved Schitt’s Creek actor) Noah Reid is set to perform on Friday, Sept. 19, as part of his Live Again Tour.

You still have time to visit Bard on the Beach, which features four iconic Shakespearean productions until the end of the month: Much Ado About Nothing, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] [again], and The Dark Lady.
