The sun is shining this week in Calgary, and we can’t wait to get outside and bask in the glow. What’s there to do around Cowtown? Well, plenty!

It seems as if the whole city is starting to gear up for Halloween, and to celebrate, we’ve got plenty of seasonal-inspired delights for you to check out. From ghost tours to film festivals, here are 10 fun-filled things to do this week in Calgary.

The world-renowned acrobatics group perform at the Big Top for its new show, Echo, with bold visuals, surprising twists, and never-before-seen acrobatic feats.

When: Saturday, Aug. 30 to Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025

The 2025 OHSOTO’KINO Music Incubator Showcase and Reception will spotlight Indigenous music talent from across Canada at the National Music Centre, with representation from country, folk, hip-hop and soul.

When: Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025

Where: Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre – 850 4th St. SE

It’s scary season, and are you ready to be seriously haunted by the tales told at Heritage Park? The spine-chilling Calgary Ghost Tours are back this fall, bringing the park’s historic streets alive with stories of haunted buildings, mysterious apparitions, and unexplained phenomena.

Blue-collar punk from Winnipeg meets tear-’em-down vocals and a hyperspeed rhythm section. Formed in 2002, Comeback Kid have more than two decades of touring under their belt, and they’ll be celebrating the 20th anniversary of their breakout 2005 album, Wake The Dead, on this must-see tour.

The 26th year of CIFF will offer over 200 feature films and shorts from Canada and beyond, with organizers describing it as “one of the strongest lineups in festival history.”
