Emmy Awards 2025: The best-dressed celebrities’ red carpet looks | Canada Voices

14 September 20254 Mins Read

Thanks to the boom in streaming, the Emmys red carpet has adopted big screen energy. Hollywood players such Cate Blanchett, Pedro Pascal, Colman Domingo and Scarlett Johansson enlisted glam squads and designer duds to make their appearances shine. The Emmys may still be dressed down in comparison to the Oscars, but glamour was not forsaken this year. There were variations on retro styles, classic column gowns and monochromatic hues, all powered up by impeccable tailoring. While there were few statement gowns or viral ensembles, there were numerous eye-catching declarations made in the name of good taste. How refreshing is that?

Selena Gomez

In a red, off-the-shoulder gown by Louis Vuitton, Gomez continued her red-carpet streak with a retro look that channels the golden era of style. Think Sophia Loren and Jayne Mansfield.

Seth Rogan

Rogan, whose Apple TV Plus show The Studio received 23 nominations, took home the award for best lead actor in a comedy series. He rose to the occasion in a brown velvet tuxedo, setting himself apart from his peers sartorially as well as with his record-setting number of Emmy wins.

Chloë Sevigny

There’s nothing basic about this black dress. The star of Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story wowed in a Saint Laurent gown and Tiffany jewels. The look, pulled together by Sevigny’s longtime stylist Haley Wollens, featured golden accents that ensured the fit wouldn’t fade into the background.

Tramell Tillman

Tramell Tillman took home an Emmy for best supporting actor in a drama series for his role as Seth Milchick in Severance, and he also won on the red carpet in this custom white Dolce & Gabbana suit. Pedro Pascal equally stunned in head-to-toe white, but Tillman’s look delivered exceptional polish.

Michelle Williams

Michelle Williams’ Emmy-nominated role in Dying for Sex brought her to this year’s awards show. The actor has always exuded an air of quiet luxury on the red carpet, and this pale pink vintage Chanel gown paired with Chanel fine jewellery stays true to her subtle and chic signature.

Lisa

Blackpink singer Lisa was in attendance as part of the cast of The White Lotus. While she may have crossed over to the screen with her acting debut, her K-pop star status is intact with this look by Lever Couture, which looks equally as dazzling on the red carpet as it would on stage for her current world tour.

Cate Blanchett

In fashion circles, wearing your designer duds on repeat is no longer taboo, and Cate Blanchett has been known to do just that. After recycling a striking black Armani Privé gown at the Venice Film Festival last month, the Disclaimer star showed up to the Emmys in a midnight blue jumpsuit by the same label.

Tracy Ifeachor

Tracy Ifeachor, star of The Pitt, is a first-time Emmys attendee and nominee. Her glittering column gown takes cues from art deco design with its intricate patterns and beading. Worn with minimal jewels and understated makeup, Ifeachor showed necessary and stylish restraint.

Jon Gries

Jon Gries took his third turn as Greg Hunt in the latest season of The White Lotus and emboldened his appearance on the red carpet with an unexpected awards show look: A collarless suit with no tie, worn in modern proportions (note the contrast between the wide leg and the fitted jacket) that any fashion lover would appreciate.

Chase Sui Wonders

There’s no end to designer Thom Browne’s red carpet fan base, which includes Zendaya, Ariana Grande, Jenna Ortega and Doechii. His gowns are rooted in a love of suitings and precision tailoring, as demonstrated in this black, off-the-shoulder dress worn by The Studio’s Chase Sui Wonders.

Sam Nivola

Dior is entering its Jonathan Anderson era. As the house’s new creative director, Anderson is bringing his signature playfulness to the label’s well-worn pedigree. The White Lotus star Sam Nivola dazzles in a look that masterfully mixes a floral print vest with tails and a wide leg trouser.

Jessica Williams

Shrinking star Jessica Williams wowed in an off-the-shoulder pink silk chiffon gown by Rodarte. The ensemble, with its ephemeral, Grecian-inspired draping and featherweight feel, is a winner of its own.
