Vancouver’s popular harvest festival kicks off at VanDusen Botanical Garden this weekend

23 September 20252 Mins Read

There’s nothing like a fall festival to get you in the mood for the season to come, and sweet treats, colourful foliage, and pumpkins galore all await at VanDusen Botanical Garden, which recently celebrated 50 years in the city. Harvest Days are a time-honoured tradition in the city that transforms the garden’s 55 acres into a celebration of autumn’s bounty.

Get ready to enjoy the family-friendly festivities and meet the vibrant sugar maples, gingko trees, and golden larches that mark the season.

Take a stroll through the transformed veggie garden, bales of hay, cornstalks, and pumpkins with a warm beverage in hand and fall colours all around you.

There will also be live folk and bluegrass music by artists such as The Hartman Brothers, The Soda Crackers, and Oh Clementine. So plan to enjoy a whimsical stroll straight out of a movie. Oh, and don’t forget to grab a bite or two from vendors like Bistrot Van, Popcorn in the Park, Coffee Bike, and Melt City Grilled Cheese.

For the little ones (and the kids at heart), there’s a scarecrow-themed hedge maze to check out.
