Don’t forget about Halloween on Oct. 31! If you’re in the mood for a good haunt, this list is your ticket. Here are 11 things to do in and around Calgary this October.

Granary Road‘s annual Harvest Fair is back for weekends of fall fun until Oct. 12. An all-access admission will let you participate in their popular annual pumpkin hunt and a scenic tractor ride through lush autumn trees. Bring your little ones for pony rides, face-painting and all-you-can-eat contests.

Canada’s Honens International Piano Competition brings 10 of the world’s finest emerging pianists to Calgary. This is one of the world’s most prestigious classical music events, with each performance offering a window into the competitor’s unique artistic personality.

Everyone’s favourite pumpkin-themed extravaganza is back for another year in Calgary — now this is Halloween!

Screamfest is back in Calgary with seven new haunted houses and an eerie promise: you will scream.

A carnival of curiosities awaits — step closer, if you dare! This multi-day celebration at Tomkins Park will release a world of magic, mystery and enchantment onto 17th Avenue.

The Saturday before Halloween, join the Calgary Underground Film Festival (CUFF) at the Globe Cinema for their annual 12-hour horror movie marathon fundraising event. Stay awake all night and enjoy seven horror movies from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. the next day.

Fundraising for the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS), you’re invited to Calgary’s most spooktacular Halloween race. This pet-friendly event is a family-friendly Halloween tradition and the perfect end to Run Calgary’s in-person race season. Come in costume!

What truths could lie at the bottom of your teacup? This Halloween afternoon tea is set up in the chilling Lougheed House and goes beyond treats, teas, and savouries. Tea will include a teacup reading with a Calgary psychic with 30 years’ experience and admission to the historic house.
