MagicCon Atlanta 2025 kicked off with an avalanche of news on Friday, from the announcement of more Marvel sets, a deeper look at Lorwyn Eclipsed, Star Trek and Hobbit tie-ins, and the inevitable unveiling of even more Final Fantasy cards. Somehow, there was more.
At the Secret Lair panel, Wizards of the Coast announced cards based on The Office, Furby, and certainly the most Polygon-coded crossover, a collaboration with PlayStation for cards based on The Last of Us, God of War, Horizon, and more. The initiative with Sony seems like a no-brainer after the Final Fantasy set was a mega-hit.
Here’s a look at the Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair x PlayStation cards from the drop:
Lindsay Bartell, senior director of Secret Lair was on hand for the announcement, saying that just like in the games, the Joel and Ellie cards are designed to work well together as partnered commanders. As long as Joel survives, of course.
Wizards of The Coast says it worked closely with PlayStation Studios teams at Naughty Dog, Santa Monica Studio, Guerrilla, and Sucker Punch Productions “to capture the spirit of each game and bring them to life with stunning art and cards with unique mechanics.”
The Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair x PlayStation collab drops Oct. 27.
