How to solve the Reliquary of Resilience puzzle in Ghost of Yōtei

4 October 20253 Mins Read

The Reliquary of Resilience is a puzzle in Ghost of Yōtei, located in the central Tokachi Range region. It’s one of those puzzles where you have to rotate a series of statues, and you must do so in a specific order because every statue you rotate causes another statue in the puzzle to rotate.

Here’s where to find the Reliquary of Resilience in Ghost of Yōtei, how to solve the Reliquary of Resilience puzzle, and what reward you’ll get for doing so.

The Reliquary of Resilience is located in the southwest corner of the Tokachi Range region, just south of the riverbed. Once south of the river, go inland and look to your right to see some cliffs you can climb. You’re looking for this cliff specifically:

Once you reach the top, just follow the path to its end point and you’ll reach the Reliquary of Resilience.

The Reliquary of Resilience puzzle poses the following riddle:

Within the caverns of Mount Yōtei, a lost boy surrendered to a tired sleep

The wolves stood guard

Looking toward the mountain

You’ll see one large statue in the center of four smaller statues. Your goal is to rotate all four statues so they’re facing the larger statue.

To do so, you’ll need to rotate them in a specific order, as each statue you rotate will knock an adjacent statue out of its orientation. Facing the puzzle, rotate each statue in the following order:

  1. Front-right
  2. Front-left
  3. Back-left
  4. Back-right

Or if you’d prefer a visual aid:

For completing the Reliquary of Resilience puzzle in Ghost of Yōtei, according to our testing, you’ll either earn or upgrade the Charm of Yōtei accessory, which offers a blanket minor damage reduction.

This reward is consistent with what we’ve earned from completing other reliquary puzzles, and suggests the rewards you get for completing this type of puzzle is dependent on how many of them you’ve completed. We’re still working our way through Ghost of Yōtei and will update this guide with more information when confirmed.

In the meantime, if you’re planning on getting lost in Ezo’s expanse, see our full Ghost of Yōtei interactive map.

If you’re just getting started on Atsu’s quest for justice, head over to our Ghost of Yōtei beginner’s guide for some essential tips. We’ve also got walkthroughs for the Reliquary of Strength puzzle, an explainer for what your horse choice means, and help with tracking down Smiling Yoshimoto, an early bounty mission.
