Four Toronto hotels were just named among the best in Canada

7 October 20253 Mins Read

Toronto continues to prove why it’s one of the most popular destinations in the country. Yes, we’re home to some of the best and finest restaurants, world-class experiences, swanky nightlife and exquisite hotel stays. And clearly, we’re not the only ones who noticed.

Condé Nast Traveller has unveiled its list of the best hotels in Canada: 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards, and four Toronto hotels made the cut.

The annual and highly anticipated awards highlight the crème de la crème of global travel. We’re talking dreamy hotels, resorts, cities, islands, train journeys, and so much more.

What makes this list even more special is that every winner is voted on by readers, which means travellers themselves decided who truly deserves the spotlight.

While we might be a little biased, because let’s be real, Canada has no shortage of stunning experiences, so we can’t help but feel a little extra proud to see Toronto dominate this year’s hotel list.

The city claimed four out of the 10 spots on the list.

Although we didn’t take first place, we did come pretty close.

Toronto’s Fairmont Royal York came in second with a 98.19 per cent score. The city’s Drake Hotel earned a 96.03 per cent score, The St. Regis Toronto got 94.59 per cent, and 1 Hotel Toronto came in ninth with 92 per cent.

Here’s the full list:

Top 10 best hotels in Canada

  1. The Magnolia Hotel & Spa — Victoria, B.C.
  2. Fairmont Royal York — Toronto, Ont.
  3. The Drake Hotel — Toronto, Ont.
  4. Auberge Saint-Antoine — Quebec City, Que.
  5. The St Regis — Toronto, Ont.
  6. Honeyrose Hotel — Montreal, Que.
  7. Pan Pacific Vancouver — Vancouver, B.C.
  8. Hotel Nelligan — Montreal, Que.
  9. 1 Hotel Toronto — Toronto, Ont.

Each of these Toronto stays offers its own slice of city luxury, whether it’s timeless elegance, creativity, or eco-chic design. Together, they really prove that our city’s hotel scene can stand tall among Canada’s very best.
