This long weekend, spooky season lovers can check out a frightful, transformed forest at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, a beloved annual Cranberry Festival, the Granville Island Turkey Trot, and much more. Gather your loved ones and make sure to check ahead of Thanksgiving Monday closures. Here are 10 fun things to do in and around Vancouver this weekend (Oct. 10-13).

From Oct. 10 to Nov. 2, 2025, you can step into a transformed forest at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park and enjoy the spooky vibes. With glowing lights, creepy decor, pumpkins, and haunted woodland creatures coming to life at night, you’ll be able to see a whole different side of this famous suspension bridge.

When: Oct. 10 to Nov. 2, 2025
Time: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., or until 9 p.m. on select nights in October
Where: 3735 Capilano Rd., North Vancouver, 
Cost: $78 per adult

This event at the Fort Langley National Historic Site combines a celebration of the cranberry harvest with live music, food, vendors, and plenty of local history to go around. Check out a scarecrow showcase, join a scavenger hunt, and peruse all the booths at the annual Cranberry Festival at the Fort.

When: Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025
Time: 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Where: 23433 Mavis Ave., Langley Township
Cost: $9 per adult, free for youth aged 17 and under

Canadian pop icon Shawn Mendes is bringing his On the Road Again Tour to Rogers Arena this Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025, celebrating the 10th anniversary of his debut album, Handwritten.

When: Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Where: 800 Griffiths Way
Cost: $238+

The beloved Granville Island Turkey Trot is back for another year of running with a purpose, with proceeds going towards local charities such as the Greater Vancouver Food Bank, Surrey Food Bank, and SHARE Family and Community Services. The race itself might already be at capacity for this year, but nothing’s stopping you from witnessing the action, or even starting an adjacent trot of your own.

When: Monday, Oct. 13, 2025
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Where: Meet at Granville Island
Cost: At capacity

Vancouver’s scariest Halloween experience is back at the PNE, complete with seven haunted houses, terrifying rides and attractions, and roaming entertainment that is sure to knock your socks off. Weekdays are a great time to get ahead of the weekend crowds and get your scare on.

When: Select nights from Oct. 1 to 31, 2025
Time: 6 to 11 p.m. or midnight, depending on the day
Where: 2901 East Hastings St.

The Improv Centre on Granville Island has a new show to check out on Fridays and Saturdays, as well as select Thursdays until Nov. 1, 2025. I Know What You Did Last Weekend focuses on a group of friends who experience a tragic accident and are forced to keep a deadly secret. Inspired by ’90s teen slasher films, the show is sure to bring on the laughs.

Organized by DigiBC and VIFF, Signals Creative Tech Expo dives into our connection to the land, history, and human rights as a whole while dealing with complex issues like AI ethics and authoritarianism. Through immersive tech and storytelling, the expo will explore how all of these intersect and interact.

The 44th annual Vancouver International Film Festival is here! Celebrating the work of filmmakers from all corners of the world, as well as local talent right here in B.C., the festival will showcase dozens of films, filmmaker Q&As, VIFF Talks, and live performances.

Harvest Days is a time-honoured tradition in Vancouver that transforms VanDusen’s 55 acres into a celebration of autumn’s bounty, complete with fall decor, pumpkins, sweet treats, and live music.
