Taco Bell 'Reimagines the Classics' With New Menu Collaboration

14 October 20254 Mins Read

Taco Bell is “breaking new ground” with the debut of one “unexpected” mashup that takes another “flavor icon” and reimagines it, the Taco Bell way.

Not too long ago, the global fast food favorite launched its take on fried chicken staples like strips (or tenders, whatever you want to call them) and nuggets as a limited time offer. But we just got word that its Crispy Chicken will be hanging out for a bit longer, likely due to fan demand, and this time around, its coming with a new sauce collaboration.

As Taco Bell’s global chief food innovation officer Liz Matthews explained, the company takes its sauces “seriously,” calling them the “the hero of our continued success” and suggesting that with them, “there’s no limit to how we reimagine the classics.”

“For decades, our sauces have become a core part of the Taco Bell experience,” Matthews said. “Crispy Chicken is our stage for flavor innovation, with every new sauce collaboration breaking new ground.”

Taco Bell Crispy Chicken Menu Gets New Frank’s RedHot Diablo Sauce

Taco Bell’s Crispy Chicken menu transforms its strips into burritos, tacos, you get the idea, and now customers have the option to order it with a spicy new sauce thanks to a collaboration with the hot sauce “legend,” Frank’s RedHot.

Dubbed Frank’s RedHot Diablo Sauce, it’s officially described as a “creamy mashup” of the brand’s original Buffalo flavor, Taco Bell’s signature Diablo sauce and spicy ranch. Its also getting its own special menu, which features a burrito, tacos, nacho fries and of course, as a dipping sauce for the Crispy Chicken.

Frank’s RedHot Diablo Crispy Chicken Burrito layers Taco Bell’s chicken strips with shredded lettuce, purple cabbage, pico de gallo and cheddar cheese before finishing it off with Frank’s RedHot Diablo or the creamy coolness of Avocado Ranch ($5.49 at participating locations, prices may vary).

Frank’s RedHot Diablo Crispy Chicken Soft Taco fills a soft flour tortilla with crispy strips of chicken, purple cabbage, pico de gallo and cheddar cheese. It can be topped with Frank’s RedHot Diablo or Avocado Ranch ($2.99 at participating locations, prices may vary; and for a limited time also part of Taco Bell’s Welcome Reward picklist for new Rewards Members).

Frank’s RedHot Diablo Chicken Nacho Fries piles seasoned Nacho Fries with slow-roasted chicken, Taco Bell’s nacho cheese sauce, a three-cheese blend, pico de gallo and Frank’s RedHot Diablo sauce ($4.99 at participating locations, prices may vary).

Taco Bell fans will also find crispy all-white chicken strips served in a pair of two or set of four, with their choice of Spicy Ranch or Frank’s RedHot Diablo sauce for endless dipping and dunking ($6.99 at participating locations, prices may vary).

“This collab demonstrates the versatility of Frank’s RedHot by bringing its characteristic balance of bold flavor and heat to ignite every bite, reimagining these classics with a partner that’s just as sauce obsessed as we are,” Valda Coryat, vice president of marketing at McCormick & Company, Inc, added.

The new menu collaboration officially launches nationwide on Thursday, Oct. 16, at participating locations for a limited time.

The brand also teased the possibility of its Crispy Chicken menu becoming a permanent, core menu item in the future. It didn’t say when it would formally make that announcement, should it ever, but at least for now, Crispy Chicken isn’t going anywhere (except for to Canada, where it only debuted). And should you need something cool after facing the heat of Frank’s RedHot Diablo, TBell has two new icey and dreamy soda freezes on the menu for a limited time that will put out the fire.
