Hilton has outlined its strategy to increase its presence in South East Asia with the signing of 17 new hotel properties, which will introduce nearly 4,000 additional rooms across the region. The expansion includes new developments in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
In Vietnam, Hilton will introduce the Waldorf Astoria brand in Hanoi, marking its entry into the capital. Additionally, LXR Hotels & Resorts will debut with an 80-room retreat on Đảo Xanh island in Da Nang. Conrad Hotels & Resorts will expand with two new properties: Conrad Hoi An and Conrad Phu Quoc, the latter being part of a multi-brand development for the 2027 APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting.
Thailand will introduce LXR Hotels & Resorts with The Rawai Phuket, a resort situated on the southern tip of Phuket. In Bangkok, Conrad Bangkok Sukhumvit Queen’s Park will become the second Conrad property in the city. The lifestyle brand Canopy by Hilton will also enter the Thai market with a new location in Bangkok Sukhumvit.
In Malaysia, Hilton plans to open Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur and Conrad Kuala Lumpur by 2026. The Tapestry Collection by Hilton will debut in Melaka, and The Nautilus Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton, will open in Langkawi in 2027.
Singapore will see the opening of NoMad Singapore in 2026, marking the brand’s first entry into the Asia Pacific region. The Philippines will welcome Canopy by Hilton Makati, a 400-room hotel in Metro Manila, by 2027.
Hilton’s expansion strategy includes the introduction of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Vietnam with NHAAN Resort & Spa Hoi An, scheduled to open in 2026. The Curio Collection by Hilton will debut in Thailand with Kahavadi Chiang Rai in 2026.
Hilton’s developments in South East Asia are part of a broader strategy to increase its supply of luxury and lifestyle hotels by at least 50% in the coming years. The company currently operates over 160 properties in the Asia Pacific region.
