Hilaria Baldwin didn’t hold back while discussing her 26-year age gap with her husband, Alec Baldwin.
While appearing on the Wednesday, November 12, episode of the “Uncut and Uncensored with Caroline Stanbury” podcast, Hilaria, 46, shared her honest take about being significantly younger than Alec, 67.
“I don’t believe that age is just a number, at least in our situation,” she said. “I think that there’s certain things where I have to look at him and say he has 26 more years of experience. And sometimes that’s a flex, and sometimes that means that we need to do a little therapy.”
While further reflecting on the attention surrounding their age difference, Hilaria said she’s learned that you “can’t please everybody.”
“I think that is a big lesson for me,” the Dancing With the Stars alum continued, noting that it’s important to know “what you want” by the time you enter your 40s.

“That’s a beautiful thing, you know, for your relationship … you know what you want, and there’s probably a confidence that you have now that is extremely sexy and extremely just comforting,” she continued. “Whereas the ups and the downs and the insecurities that we often have when we’re younger and not knowing ourselves.”
Hilaria added, “I think that that is only a gift that comes with age.”
The couple got married in 2012, while they share daughters Carmen Gabriela, 12, María Lucía Victoria, 4, and Ilaria Catalina Irena, 2, and sons, Rafael Thomas, 10, Leonardo Ángel Charles, 9, Romeo Alejandro David, 7, and Eduardo “Edu” Pao Lucas, 5.
Additionally, Alec shares 30-year-old daughter Ireland Baldwin, 30, with ex-wife Kim Basinger.
Hilaria clearly values her family time, and she processed her elimination from season 34 of DWTS by spending quality time with her kids.
On October 8, Hilaria took to Instagram to share several photos and videos after she and pro partner Gleb Savchenko were eliminated from the series. One clip showed Hilaria and her young kids standing near the ocean, while her young kids were also featured in several other clips.
“Spent the day mommying and processing with my children. To my family, friends, Gleb, DWTS, all of you who have encouraged me…I’m forever grateful,” she wrote alongside a white heart emoji at the time. “I’m excited to cheer on my cast mates. I love you all.”
