Immortals Fenyx Rising is free and a bunch of other Ubisoft games are on sale

Ubisoft is making its open-world adventure Immortals Fenyx Rising free on Windows PC starting Thursday. All you have to do is head over to the Ubisoft Store in your browser or launch Ubisoft Connect and be logged in to your Ubisoft account to claim it.

The game will be free to claim until Dec. 2 alongside Ubisoft’s Black Friday sales, which also went live Thursday. Games are up to 90% off at the Ubisoft Store. That means you can snag Assassin’s Creed Shadows for 40% off at $41.99, Star Wars Outlaws for 70% off at $21 (it’s better than you think!), The Division 2 for 75% off at $7.50, and many more.

Immortals Fenyx Rising launched in 2020 to a generally good reception (it sits with a Metascore between 76-81, depending on platform, on Metacritic). It takes place in a vibrant fantasy world inspired by Greek mythology. You’ll play as Fenyx as he tries to save Greek gods, taking down enemies like Cyclops and Medusa along the way in fast-paced combat. Polygon was a bit lukewarm on Immortals when it launched, saying it “can’t help from becoming a game that shoves you down a path,” in our review.

Ubisoft is making the open-world adventure free to celebrate five years of its Ubisoft Connect platform. Ubisoft Connect allows for cross-play, cross-progression, and cross-platform achievements amongst its titles.
