Regent Bali Canggu has officially opened, marking the first Regent hotel in Indonesia, located on Bali’s southwest coast.
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the opening of Regent Bali Canggu, the first Regent hotel in Indonesia. Situated on Bali’s southwest coast, the hotel features 150 rooms and suites with views of the Indian Ocean and surrounding rice fields.
The property includes the world’s first Regent Spa, a concept developed by IHG’s in-house Spa & Wellness consultants, Raison d’Etre. The spa offers a range of treatments, including Balinese-inspired therapies, in seven treatment rooms. Additional wellness facilities include a vitality pool, ice baths, and saunas.
Regent Bali Canggu also features six dining venues, including two signature restaurants led by Chef Andrew Walsh. Sazón offers Mediterranean-inspired dishes, while Cure Bali, set to open in early 2026, will focus on Asian cuisine using local ingredients. Other dining options include Taru, which serves Indonesian dishes, and a Beach House, Pool Bar, and Lounge.
The hotel is designed by WATG Architects, with interiors by Hirsch Bedner Associates and landscape design by John Pettigrew. The design incorporates elements from Balinese villages and rice paddies, using materials such as stone, teak, and marble.
Regent Bali Canggu is part of IHG’s strategy to expand the Regent brand, which currently includes 11 properties in 9 countries. The company plans to increase this number to 40 hotels in key global locations.
