First Look at ‘Motorvalley’, Netflix’s New Italian Series Set in the Heart of GT Racing

Netflix has released the first teaser and images for Motorvalley, the new Italian series arriving on February 10, 2026. The project brings GT racing to the streamer through a story set in Emilia-Romagna’s historic automotive district, a region known globally for engineering, design, and the culture that has shaped some of the world’s most recognisable motorsport brands. The series was first confirmed for a 2026 release during Next on Netflix 2025.

Produced by Matteo Rovere for Groenlandia, the series introduces three central figures whose lives intersect on and off the track: Arturo, Elena, and Blu. Each of them has a reason to push harder than the others.

Motor Valley refers to a concentrated area of Emilia-Romagna, especially around Modena, Bologna, Parma, and Reggio Emilia, known for its extraordinary cluster of iconic automotive and motorcycle manufacturers. Ferrari in Maranello, Lamborghini in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Maserati in Modena, Pagani in San Cesario sul Panaro, and Ducati in Bologna are all located within a short distance from each other and are known around the world.

The series itself was filmed primarily in 2024 across major Italian tracks, including Imola, Mugello, Monza, and Vallelunga. Additional locations in Imola and Tuscany were used to capture training environments, family storylines, and the landscape surrounding Emilia-Romagna’s motorsport districts. Footage recorded during the 2024 Italian Gran Turismo Championship will also appear throughout the series.

In the first teaser, we’re introduced to Arturo, Elena, and Blu, the three main characters who arrive at a turning point in their lives. Each has something at stake, and each finds in speed a form of clarity they struggle to access elsewhere.

Elena, part of the prominent Dionisi family, tries to reclaim her place inside a racing team now controlled by her brother. To rebuild her standing, she brings in Blu, a young and unpredictable driver with a natural pull toward risk, and Arturo, a former racing legend who stepped away from competition after a devastating incident. Each of them has a reason to push harder than the others. Motorvalley follows its path in the Italian Gran Turismo Championship (GT), where cars and competition are not simply a shared passion but something that can define a life, or end one.

Who’s behind Motorvalley for Netflix?

The series is created by Francesca Manieri, Gianluca Bernardini, and Matteo Rovere. Direction is shared by Rovere, Pippo Mezzapesa, and Lyda Patitucci, with writing by Manieri, Rovere, Bernardini, Michela Straniero, and Erika Z. Galli.

The central core of the cast comprises:

• Giulia Michelini (Squadra Antimafia, Rosy Abate) as Elena Dionisi
• Caterina Forza as Blu Venturi
