All Remaining Star Trek Titles Leaving Netflix Globally in January 2026

Netflix’s long-running relationship with Star Trek is coming to an end outside the United States. With multiple series now showing removal notices, including the recently rescued Star Trek: Prodigy and the entire slate of classic shows, we’re breaking down exactly what’s still available on Netflix, what’s leaving, and the key dates Trekkies need to know.

OK, let’s break down what’s still on Netflix, what’s leaving, and when:

Star Trek: Prodigy

Leaving Netflix Globally

Stark Trek Prodigy Leaving Netflix

Just before the Summer got into full flow, we got some bad news: Star Trek: Prodigy, which has been “saved” by Netflix with the second season that never aired on Paramount+ getting the exclusive drop on Netflix, would not only not be renewed but would be leaving Netflix soon after its short exclusive licensing window came to an end.

The first season was indeed removed over the Summer, with that second and exclusive season now set to leave as we enter 2026 with your last day to watch being New Year’s Eve and the removal itself scheduled for New Year’s Day.

There have been rumors that it will return to Paramount+ in the New Year, but we haven’t been able to back that up. We do know that Star Trek: Starfleet Academy releases on P+ this month, but no word on Prodigy just yet.

Netflix, throughout the late 2010s and if not sooner, has been the streaming home to many of the iconic shows that have made Star Trek into the household name that it is today. Locations like the United Kingdom first picked up many of the shows as early as 2013, while others didn’t get them licensed until around 2016 (like Canada, for instance).

They’re all due to depart Netflix globally, regardless of when they were first added, on January 9th, according to the current notice on the series’ pages, which states that your “Last Day to Watch” is on January 8th.

As a reminder of what’s leaving:

  • Star Trek (1968 – Seasons 1-3)
  • Star Trek: The Animated Series (1973 – Seasons 1-2)
  • Star Trek: The Next Generation (1993 – Seasons 1-7)
  • Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1999 – Seasons 1-7)
  • Star Trek: Voyager (2000 – Seasons 1-7)
  • Star Trek: Enterprise (2004 – Seasons 1-4)

In all that represents, 30 seasons of television across 717 episodes. Yes, we sat and did the math.

These removal dates do not apply to Netflix in the United States, of course, given that they saw all of the classic Star Trek series depart in multiple stages across 2021 and 2022 as part of Paramount’s pullback of its content to stock up on Star Trek, both new and old. For the most part, Paramount+ has been where the series has exclusively resided since then.

The same is happening now with Netflix internationally, with the initial licenses coming to an end and Paramount taking back exclusive access to the shows to bolster Paramount+. There is a possibility a last-minute renewal could go in, but in case you haven’t heard, talks between Paramount and Netflix right now might be a bit frosty…

We should also note that Netflix in the United States is set to stream both rebooted Star Trek movies from Paramount on January 1st. It’s not related to the removals above, but just routine changes of Paramount’s library. You can see all the movies scheduled to depart from Netflix US in January 2026 here.

While those movies will no doubt rotate on and off Netflix for the foreseeable future, in terms of the Star Trek shows, however, that’s it for now. As you may remember Netflix, at one point, had the exclusive international rights to Star Trek: Discovery in addition to all the classic titles that are now set to depart. Now, it’s left with nothing.

Are you going to miss Star Trek when it leaves where you live? Let us know in the comments.
