IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

If you keep your aims simple, focus only on facts and don’t expect to get out of life more than you put in then the coming year will be a lot of fun. Why aim for the stars when there is so much going on down here on earth?

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

Be wary of someone you work with who says they want to help you, because it’s far more likely that they are envious of your success and would like nothing better than to lead you astray. The only help you need is your own.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

Differences of opinion are a fact of life and should be embraced rather than avoided. As Mars moves into one of the more confident areas of your chart this week you will hold your own when it comes to both personal and professional disputes.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

Geminis may be at the cutting edge when it comes to new methods and new ways of thinking but that does not mean you have nothing to learn. The message of the stars for the week ahead is that you will gain more by listening than talking.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

If you find yourself caught in the middle of a battle of wills over the next few days you must do your utmost to stay neutral. Even if you secretly favour one side over the other you cannot afford to get personally involved. Remain impartial.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

You have never been the sort to back down under pressure but as Mars moves into the work area of your chart this week it might be wise to bow to the demands of a senior colleague. The alternative is to risk creating a powerful new enemy.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

A relationship of some kind will get a new lease of life over the coming week and you will be mightily relieved that a falling out was avoided. It’s good that you are willing to compromise but don’t let it look as if you are surrendering.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

Be careful who you confide in as the new week begins because not everyone can be trusted. That applies to all areas but especially to work-related matters as some people could use what you tell them to aggrandize themselves at your expense.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

If you have to tell a friend or co-worker that they have been acting badly of late then do so openly and invite them to clean up their act. There is no point just dropping hints as they either won’t notice or will deliberately ignore them.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

What occurs over the next few days may be unsettling but no way is it the end of the world, so don’t start thinking you have to take drastic action. So long as you accept that major changes are needed you should be okay.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

With Mars about to move into your sign your energy and your lust for life will come flooding back. No matter how down you may have been over the past month or so there is now light at the end of the tunnel, and it’s approaching fast!

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

Avoid situations where you are at the mercy of other people. That applies to people you don’t know or trust, of course, but also to friends and colleagues who don’t always share your values. As far as you can you must work on your own.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

You are under no obligation to turn a blind eye to the faults and failings of people you work with. That applies doubly if their errors reflect badly on you or could cause you to lose out financially. Read the riot act and make it loud.
