All The New First Looks Just Released for 'Stranger Things' Season 5 Volume 2

It’s here! Just a few days after Ross Duffer delivered the news that post-production had been completed on Volume 2 of Stranger Things, the new teaser trailer for the upcoming episodes, which arrive on Christmas Day, has just dropped alongside a bunch of new stills from the upcoming season.

In case you missed Ross’s tease late last week about the upcoming episodes, here’s a recap of what was said:

“Shock Jock” picks up moments after the end of “Sorcerer”. Frank Darabont is back, but he flexes very different muscles on this one than he did on “Turnbow Trap”— it’s far darker, and far scarier.
“Escape from Camazotz” is Shawn Levy’s return to the director’s chair. It’s the biggest episode of the three— and the performances make us cry every time we watch it.
“The Bridge”… we co-directed this one with Shawn. Don’t want to say too much, but aside from the finale, it’s probably the most emotional chapter of the season.

Further updates over the weekend from other team members on the series will come once post-production is fully complete on all episodes, including the finale. Reports also surfaced over the weekend that Millie Bobby Brown was spotted in Iceland over the Summer of this year, filming some new scenes for Stranger Things S5.

Picking up amid the chaos of Vecna’s return from the end of volume 1, the latest Stranger Things Season 5 trailer sets a dire tone as Hawkins falls under military lockdown and the Upside Down proves even more misunderstood than anyone realized. Joyce insists the fight is far from over, while Will’s newly awakened powers complicate the group’s already fragile plan. As Eleven reconnects with her lost sister Kali in a bid to finally destroy Vecna, Hopper and Eleven venture into the Upside Down, resistance efforts form back in Hawkins, and Holly is taken captive, finding unexpected company in the comatose Max. The trailer teases a full-scale assault, haunting revelations about the Upside Down’s true nature, and ominous promises of “new worlds” from Vecna himself.

Stranger Things Volume 2 Gets Major Production Update With Release Just 2 Weeks Away

Volume 2 arrives Christmas Day, with the series finale following on New Year’s Eve. In addition, the finale will also appear in select theaters. According to one source, 490 locations across the United States and Canada are showing the episode (the United Kingdom has none), with California leading with 76 locations and Ontario, Canada, with 24.

Here is that trailer and all 19 new snaps for the upcoming three episodes. The official tease for the trailer states, “Everything we have ever assumed about the upside down has been dead wrong.”
