Even in the apocalypse, there’s time for dates
The Epic Games Store’s latest free mystery game has been revealed. Until 11 a.m. EST on Dec. 20, Eternights will be available to claim for free at Epic.
Studio Sai’s Eternights blends dating sim gameplay, hack-and-slash combat, and stylized anime visuals. You’ll bounce between setting up dates and crawling through dungeons in its apocalyptic world, fighting humans-turned-monsters along the way. Why not look for a little love amidst the rubble and ruin?
Typically, we know what game Epic is giving away a week in advance. However, during the holiday season, Epic literally wraps the game in mystery; the thumbnails on the Epic Games Store just show an image of a wrapped holiday present (complete with a bow on top). In 2024, the Epic Games Store gave away more than a dozen games in the two weeks leading into the new year, many of which were terrific, including Dredge, Control, and Sifu.
If you want to pick up the Epic free game, all you need to do is log in to the Epic Games Store and claim it. The free mystery games are free for 24 hours, and reset each day at 11 a.m. EST, when the next mystery game will be revealed.
