Jenni 'JWoww' Farley's Emotional Parenting Confession Resonates With Fans

20 December 20252 Mins Read

Jenni “JWoww” Farley is opening up about the side of motherhood that doesn’t always make it to social media.

The Jersey Shore star shared a raw, real post on Instagram about the mental and emotional toll of parenting. She admitted some days feel completely overwhelming.

“Parenting is not for the weak,” Farley captioned the photo of her hugging her daughter, Meilani Mathews.

“Some days I feel like I’m drowning and I’ll never catch a break. You question yourself, you worry if you are doing enough, and you carry the weight of making sure your babies are healthy and safe more than anything in the world, to the point where everything feels too heavy.”

Farley is mom to daughter Meilani, 11, and son Greyson, 9, whom she shares with ex-husband Roger Mathews.

And while she opened up about how heavy those feelings can be, Farley also highlighted the moments that make parenting all worth it.

“Then moments like this happen,” she continued. “A simple hug. An ‘I love you, Mom.’ A small reminder that you are not ‘the worst mother ever.'”

For Farley, those brief but powerful moments are what wash away the tears, sleepless nights, and exhaustion. Like many parents, they’re what give her the strength to keep going.

Fans quickly flooded the comments with support, thanking Farley for being so honest about the realities of parenting.

“This,” Farley’s Jersey Shore: Family Vacation co-star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi commented with the prayer hand emoji.

“1000% yes!” another comment reads. “Parenting is bawling your eyes out away from your kids as if you don’t know what else to do and it’s all you can do in the hard moments, n then you carry on being a mom again in hopes that the next day is better.”

Many related to her words, saying it felt comforting to hear someone with a platform admit that motherhood isn’t always picture-perfect—even when you love your kids more than anything.

“I’ve told my kids recently, adult kids,” said another commenter. “This is my first time doing all this, too. I am not perfect, but I’m trying.”

Farley has long been open about her life as a mom, especially when it comes to advocating for her children and navigating parenting challenges in the public eye. With this latest post, she reminded fellow parents they’re not alone, and that sometimes, a hug and an “I love you” really can make all the difference.
