This week, you can expect the utmost Christmas joy in Edmonton. We’ve got all the best things to do this week in the city, including holiday events and otherwise. Whether it’s getting ready for the holidays or winding down on Friday, we’ve got you covered.

Let’s get into all the best things to do in Edmonton this week!

Rapid Fire Theatre presents the holiday favourite, The Blank Who Stole Christmas, the festive, fully improvised spectacular where you help decide how the story unfolds. This improv show is a whole load of fun, especially when you get to be a part of it. There’s a nice version, for kids, as well as a naughty version, and a nasty version for those 18 and above.

Ebenezer Scrooge has been given just one night to redeem himself, but will the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future help him overcome a lifetime of indifference before all hope is lost? Edmonton’s favourite Christmas tradition returns to the Citadel.

When: Now until Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025

This Die-Hard-Christmas-Carol is about as stupid as it sounds, with action-packed comedy, tap dancing FBI agents, and heartbreaking flashbacks of kids who are coughing too much.

Where: Orange Hub Performance Theatre — 10045 156th St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.

Glow Edmonton is returning for another year of lights galore, featuring over one million lights this year. Full of activities and events for all ages, Glow is a fantastic holiday event to have on your radar. Not only is this its biggest year yet, but it’s also introducing its new theme for 2025, the Enchanted Forest.

When: Now until Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025

Where: Edmonton Expo Centre — 7515 118th Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $17.99+

The holiday spirit will be alive in the Crestwood neighbourhood. Here, you can see all the beautiful lights adorning houses and yards for the holidays, right in Edmonton’s Candy Cane Lane. This tradition has been alive for over 50 years, and each year it continues to shine brighter.

When: Now until Friday, Jan. 2, 2026
Time: Dusk to 11 p.m.

 148th Street from 92nd Avenue to 99th Avenue

The Canadian Tire Magic of Lights is a dazzling 2.7-kilometre drive through featuring over two million LED Lights and Digital Animation, right in Edmonton.

When: Now until Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026

Where: RAD Torque Raceway – Edmonton International Airport — 50342 Range Rd., Alta.
Cost: $35+

For the 13th year, the Edmonton Valley Zoo will be hosting Zoominescence, presented by The King’s University.

This festival opens up the zoo during the colder months for a spectacular exhibition of artistic light installations for guests of all ages to admire and enjoy.

When: Now until Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026
Time: 4:30 to 10 p.m.
Where: 13315 Buena Vista Rd., Edmonton, Alta
Cost: $15.95+

You can visit the Art of Banksy right in the Edmonton City Centre. This art exhibition takes you through over 200 pieces of artwork by the street artist Banksy, including interactive displays like the Infinity Room.

This performance from the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra will feature all your favourite Christmas and holiday carols like “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” “Angels We Have Heard on High,” “Sleigh Ride,” “Silent Night,” and more. For those who want to join in, there will even be a sing-along portion for your enjoyment!

When: Monday, Dec. 22, 2025, and Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025

Where: 4 Sir Winston Churchill Sq. NW, Edmonton, Alta.

The two teams face off against each other on the ice for another Battle of Alberta. You won’t want to miss this hockey game.
