Christmastime is story time.
Maybe we gather ‘round the dinner table and read all about the very first Christmas—right from the Bible. Maybe we hunker down by the Christmas tree and sink into classic Christmas tales such as The Gift of the Magi or The Best Christmas Pageant Ever or even Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Or maybe we like our stories a little less read and a little more streamed: We might watch Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer or How the Grinch Stole Christmas or It’s a Wonderful Life.
Maybe it’s a bit of all three. I know it was for me growing up.
Well, today, Bob Hoose, Emily Tsiao and I tell you about some of our own seasonal story favorites: Ones we grew up with, ones we reviewed, maybe ones we’ve shared with our own kids. And we talk about why such stories resonate with us so powerfully.
