IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement to develop a 115-key Holiday Inn hotel in Dhangadhi, Nepal, set to open in the first quarter of 2028.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced a management agreement with Club Chaulani Ltd. to establish a Holiday Inn hotel in Dhangadhi, Nepal. The hotel, which will feature 115 guest rooms, is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2028. This development marks IHG’s entry into the Sudurpashchim Province and aligns with its strategy to expand in emerging markets across South Asia.
The hotel will be situated within a mixed-use development in the city center, approximately 8.5 kilometers from Dhangadhi Airport. Its location near the India-Nepal border positions it to serve a diverse range of guests, including business travelers, government officials, and leisure visitors. Nearby attractions include Shuklaphanta National Park, Ghodaghodi Lake, and Shivpuri Temple.
Holiday Inn Dhangadhi will offer four food and beverage outlets, including an all-day dining restaurant, a pool bar, and a specialty restaurant. The hotel will also provide meeting and event spaces, including a ballroom. Additional amenities will include a fitness center and a swimming pool.
The signing of this agreement is part of IHG’s broader strategy to introduce its brands to high-potential, underserved markets. The company currently operates 51 hotels across six brands in India and has a pipeline of 80 hotels set to open in the next three to five years.
