Two Canadian spots were just named among places you should travel in 2026

Though we’re just a few days into 2026, let’s not have another year slip by. It’s time to start fulfilling your goals and begin planning your trips. If you don’t know where to start, Time Out has a few ideas. The media company team has compiled a list of 19 places across the globe that they think you should visit in 2026, and two of those are in Canada.

Maybe a trip doesn’t mean going abroad, maybe it’s just a quick drive out of your city? And that’s okay because here in Canada, we’re blessed with the most jaw-dropping sights and incredible outdoor experiences.

Clearly, our backyard made such an impact that the editing team added two Canadian destinations to its roundup.

Where you should travel in 2026

“Our recommended 2026 travel hotspots include Unesco’s next World Book Capital in Morocco, a new thermal wellness destination in the Canadian Rockies, unspoiled beach towns in Brazil – and many, many more where that came from,” adds the team.

The list includes 19 places, and they’re pretty heavy hitters – but so is Canada.

According to TimeOut, two of the places you should travel to in 2026 are the Canadian Rockies and Prince Edward County.

Canadian Rockies

If you’re seeking peace and tranquillity, a trip to the Rockies should be on your radar. It’s best for cutting-edge wellness, according to Time Out.

“In the works for over two decades, the stunning new thermal wellness destination BASIN Glacial Waters finally opened in 2025 on the shores of Lake Louise,” shares the team. “If the Canadian Rockies have been on your hit list for a while, this chic new spa is reason enough to pull the trigger on a trip.”

Prince Edward County

A beauty in the winter, but a must-visit hotspot in the summer. Prince Edward County is known for its stunning white-sand beaches and turquoise waters so we’re not surprised by its mention.

With mentions of the Wander the Resort, The Drake Devonshire and Base31, the Time Out team loves that this place is zero try-hard energy. “And we haven’t even talked about the 40-plus local wineries pouring stellar sips – most of which are small-batch and never make it out of the province,” adds the team.
