'Real Housewives' Star Diagnosed With Cancer Says She's 'Struggling' in Latest Health Update

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp has shared an update on her health as she continues her cancer journey. Mellencamp has been absent from Two T’s for months, taking a break to care for herself and focus on her health. This week, however, she returned with some positive news about her mental health.

“I’ve been doing a lot of therapy, a lot of rest, a lot of hanging with the family,” Mellencamp, 44, said on the Thursday, January 15, episode of her Two T’s in a Pod podcast. “A lot of trying to get myself together because, apparently, I’m struggling with massive PTSD. … I didn’t really realize it, so I’m starting to feel a little better. The cloud is lifting.”

Mellencamp’s comments come after her father, John Mellencamp, shared an update on his daughter’s health while chatting with Joe Rogan. On the Wednesday, Jan. 14, episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, John said that his daughter is “really sick.”

“It’s not f****** fun,” he continued, adding, “she’s got cancer in the brain, and she’s suffering right now.”

Teddi was diagnosed with melanoma in October 2022. After numerous surgeries to remove cancerous cells from her back, doctors found cancerous tumors in her brain.

In November 2025, Teddi had a bit of a positive update to share, telling Extra that she was feeling a bit better.

“I see it as a miracle. I feel so beyond grateful that I’m feeling better and that I’m able to be there more for my kids and my family. I have such amazing friends and support system that’s really gotten me through, and so I’m just, I’m grateful,” she told the outlet, adding, “There’s going to be good days and there’s bad days. And you’re not alone… And I think the only other message that I can definitely say is go get your checks because knowledge is key.”
