'America's Test Kitchen' Teams With Netflix to Spotlight Beloved Culinary Stars

Podcasts continue to surge in popularity, with Amy Poehler recently taking home the Golden Globes’ first-ever award to honor the red-hot medium.

And now, with Netflix ever expanding its horizons, America’s Test Kitchen is partnering with the streaming giant to launch two new “vodcasts” that will spotlight the culinary brand’s beloved talent in fresh, off-the-cuff formatting.

Both series — The Side Dish and In the Test Kitchen — will premiere in February, exclusively on Netflix, and offer a behind-the-scenes look at the people, techniques and creative process behind one of America’s most trusted sources in the kitchen — which has also become a popular Instagram presence. Each video podcast for Netflix will have 26 episodes, released on a bi-weekly cadence. The Side Dish will debut on Feb. 4, with In the Test Kitchen to follow on the 26th.

In The Side Dish, TV’s top cooking hosts — and friends of two decades — are ditching their aprons and going off script. America’s Test Kitchen veterans Bridget Lancaster and Julia Collin Davison share behind-the-scenes stories from the country’s most popular instructional cooking show, debate the best travel snacks (and more), discuss their favorite kitchen hacks and answer your burning culinary questions in a hilarious video podcast about life, food and everything in between.

With In the Test Kitchen, the video podcast takes viewers behind the scenes of a bustling test kitchen with test cook hosts who dive deep into their favorite dishes and taste recipes that are still works-in-progress. They also talk about how culture, history and science influence the foods we love to eat. Discover the messy, fun and (mostly) delicious work that goes into creating America’s favorite recipes.

In other celebrity-chef news, it’s hard to talk about on-air culinary talent without skipping over the great Gordon Ramsay. Earlier this month, the MasterChef host, 59, endorsed the new I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter! formula and developed four unique recipes specifically for the brand:
